Android installation guide
The Android app is released directly as an APK file (not yet on Google Play), so the system will ask for installation permission — you only need to allow it once. Note: no need to enable "Developer mode".
- Download the .apk file to your phone, then open it from the download notification or from the Files/Tệp app.
- When the system asks for permission to install an app from an unknown source, select "Allow from this source" (Allow from this source).
- Press 'Settings'. If Play Protect warns that the app is from an unknown source, choose 'Install anyway' (Install anyway).
- Open SCO HOS from the main screen and log in as usual.
When the app is uploaded to Google Play, you can uninstall the APK and reinstall from the store — login data remains unchanged.
Installation guide on Windows
The current Windows build is not yet signed with a code‑signing certificate, so SmartScreen will warn "Windows protected your PC" when you run it for the first time — it's a safe application, just confirm once.
- Run the sco_hos_app.exe file you just downloaded — SmartScreen will display the warning 'Windows protected your PC'.

Check that the app name is sco_hos_app.exe, then press the "Run anyway" button (Continue running). App: sco_hos_app.exe — Publisher: Unknown publisher Run anyway
- From next time opening SCO HOS normally — SmartScreen will not ask again.
Future releases will be signed with a code-signing certificate — at that point Windows will no longer display warnings.
Extract the ZIP file and run
sco-hos-app.exe. The application automatically checks for new updates each time it starts.
